Estimating Solutions group are currently seeking Expression of Interest from Hydraulic Estimators to join our Perth based team. The successful candidate will be estimating a steady pipeline of exciting nationally based projects.

About the Role

The key duties of a Hydraulic Estimator include but are not limited to:

  • First Principle Estimating
  • Developing accurate estimates for projects of up to $10m
  • Evaluating bid specifications and review plans and drawings
  • Building relationships with subcontractors and suppliers
  • Providing consultation on planning eg. schedules and labour
  • Participating in tender reviews
  • Obtaining and reviewing offers and quotes from subcontractors, vendors and suppliers
  • Producing material take-offs
  • Quote preparation

Necessary Qualifications, Skills and Experience required for this role

To be considered for this role, you should be able to hold or demonstrate the following qualifications, skills and experience:

  • Estimating experience working on residential & commercial projects.
  • Plumbing Trade Background and sound on site experience.
  • Able to demonstrate experience of working on a diverse range of projects. (retail, education, housing, apartments etc)
  • Ability to work autonomously.
  • Passion for delivering excellence.
  • Demonstrated ability to analyse, evaluate and interpret a range of complex and technical documents.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to build lasting relationships with clients and suppliers.
  • Excellent interpersonal and negotiating skills.
  • Strong attention to detail, and accurate reporting skills.
  • Working knowledge of MS Office Suite with extensive experience in Excel.
  • A good understanding of business principles would be highly advantageous.
  • A good attitude towards helping our business grow would be advantageous and very rewarding to the correct candidate.

Estimating Solutions group are currently seeking Expression of Interest from candidates who are interested to join our team as our newest Trainee Electrical Estimator.  This opportunity is based within our Perth team of Estimators.

About the Role

This fantastic opportunity would suit someone who is looking to change direction in their Electrical career – from working on the tools to working in a diverse, stable, and interesting office environment.

  • Demonstrated and proven experience in the construction industry
  • A basic understanding of Services Design & Costing (Mechanical, Electrical, and Hydraulic)
  • An understanding of how to read drawings
  • A high level of written and verbal communication
  • Strong client liaison and relationship building skills and excellent interpersonal and negotiating skills
  • Highly motivated and self-driven and able to work autonomously
  • A team player who will fit in our family orientated culture
  • Experience working with a CRM (HubSpot Preferred)
  • Working knowledge of MS Office Suite with extensive experience in Excel
